Totally unrelated.

That's like saying Disney has a footprint here because there is a Disney store in Wrentham...

Because it is. Give the Fed a couple more months, they are on the case.

I can't imagine those existing employees jumping up and down about having to relocate to the Boston area, save for maybe the highest level executives that probably already have a condo in Back Bay or Seaport for all we know.
A lot of times, companies will move their HQ to get their older, expensive employees to quit.

Edit: This is probably like GE.

I agree. He repeatedly says things like the fed is working on this like he's some kind of mole. Very bizarre. He hates that people work from home.

The rate hikes that are going on aren't about inflation... it's about "inflation". You know, quiet quitting, people refusing to RTO, that sort of thing. They are going to crash the economy if that's what it's going to take to get people back in line.

I feel dumb.... because i don't get it.

So by stemming inflation via interest rate hikes they will crash the economy that's going to get people to work in the office? Wouldnt that just bring down overall levels of employment and force companies to adopt cost-saving measures like WFH?

Inflation won't be controlled until spending is. As long as the currency continues to be debased by reckless spending, inflation will be an issue. "The Great Reset" is another more complex conversation and for critical thinkers only.

There are many layoffs taking place now but everyone seems certain that these people will easily find other jobs.
