I come here to learn and share knowledge, and sometimes engage in some--hopefully respectful and thoughtful--debate. It is ludicrous that one female cop is being roasted all over the media for this while millions of others with far more monney steal money every day...from your wallet.

Nobody here is defending other thieves. I already stated why the consequences of doing wrong are greater when in a position of public trust, a reason why most people aren't cut out for that life.

This was one idiot who chose to steal money from a wallet off duty. It wasn't a dept stealing. Seems like the state has already cracked down on that one. Notice how no one wants to be a cop anymore either so the caliber of candidates is getting less

Clearly you don't like the implication that you're "liberal" if you want her fired. I don't like the implication that I'm immoral if I withhold final judgement because I don't have all the facts and because I happen to know how these things work in real life.

Again, there are boston cops who have done worse things and are still employed. That's also part of my issue here on this one.
