Are there any in decent shape/yet not crazy expensive apartment complexes in the Boulder area that anyone can recommend checking out? Not super picky at all, but would like a balcony/ one bedroom apt.

I can't help, but you might want to quantify what price range your looking for - 'crazy expensive' can mean different things to different people. Good hunting!

good point :-) I'm looking at anything between 650-800 for a 1 bedroom.

My daughter had a 2 BR in Canyon Creek apts for ~$900/mo. two years ago. I think they have one bedrooms. Now, mind you, I wasn't crazy about the place, but it was cheap.

See my recent reply to another thread more for geographic areas than specific complexes. I had good luck with Craigslist. Rents are especially high now due to demand (fewer people qualifying for mortgages; economy and amenities still drawing people; students ...)
