Here's a great fighter who knows his stuff and has fought both. He thinks Mayweather is better than Pacman. Thoughts?

Not really surprising when you consider their styles, ask Hatton the same thing and you might get a different answer. Mayweather is a great fighter whose legacy is more important to him than fighting someone he might lose to. Pacquiao isn't nearly concerned with his legacy if he was he wouldn't have fought Morrales 3 times and Marquez 3 times. Pacquiao's a slugger who would loves boxing and testing his skills against anyone, he's like Holyfield in that regard, heck Tyson was smart enough not to fight Foreman, Mayweather was smart enough not to try Cotto, of course that went down the drain after a big Mexican was sent in with bricks in his gloves to destroy Cotto and it worked, why fight Cotto now or Margarito.

Floyd Mayweather isn't dumb like his daddy, he knows how many wars Pac has been in, maybe he'll fight him next year maybe he'll wait two or three more years, the fight will happen, but only when Mayweather knows that Pacquiao is ready to fight him which is getting closer every fight Pacquiao takes. If my ego was that big and taking a loss might ruin my life heck I'd wait till Pacquiao fights three or four more times, maybe longer.

I think Mayweather would beat him now, 2 years ago, or two years from now, but somebody has gotten into Mayweather's head, maybe its Pacquiao who knows.

I'm sure to Marquez Mayweather was the better boxer and gave him a tougher fight. Doesn't really mean anything in the overall scheme of things. I'm sure Hearns would say that Leonard was better than Duran since he KO's Duran, yet Duran defeated Leonard their first time out. Doesn't prove anything. Each fighter will face someone whose style will give them fits but another fighter may have an easier time against.

Mosley fought both but felt that Manny hit harder while Mayweather was better defensively. He couldn't really call a winner if the two fought except to say that if Mayweather fights a careful, defensive fight (in other words "boring") he can squeak out a decision.

Look at De La Hoya. He considers Hopkins a better boxer than both Mayweather and Pacquiao. I'm sure to Oscar that's true, but another fighter/coach/fan may disagree.

Pacquiao vs Marquez - 114-114, 115-113, and 116-112
Mayweather vs Marquez - 120-107, 119-108 and 118-109

The scorecards speak for themselves. Not to mention that Floyd fought a quicker, younger, and more resilient Marquez.

Yeah, but you're forgetting that Manny fought an even younger, faster, resilient Marquez twice before Mayweather, while Marquez was in fact in his prime. This last go around, Marquez was bigger and stronger than he's ever been and he himself said he is in much better condition than when he fought Mayweather. All you have to do is look at pics of Marquez then and now.

How am I reaching? He produces some scorecards as evidence that Mayweather is the better of the two. Using that logic I can say the following proves that Manny is the better fighter:

Ricky Hatton vs Mayweather - TKO in the tenth with a little help from his buddy Joe Cortez

Hatton vs Pacquiao - KO in the second that retired him.

DLH vs Mayweather - Narrow Split Decision win for Floyd
DLH vs Pacquiao - TKO win in the 8th, Oscar takes the most brutal beating of his life

Don't give me any of this nonsense about how Mayweather softened them up or how they suddenly aged in the year in between fights.

I'd say by how Pacquiao looked Saturday night, the balls in Mayweathers court, Pacquiao for some reason agreed to the conditions that Mayweather has set. Let's see if Mayweather will make the fight, even his fans are calling for it after Saturday night.

Manny clearly has problems with counter punchers and Mayweather is a much better counter puncher than Marquez.

I think Floyd is an idiot, but if Manny and him do fight, then Manny needs to find a way to deal with a very very good counter puncher.

Not this again. If you want to start picking and choosing facts not related to the discussion (which revolved around Marquez, Floyd, and Manny) then a simple look at each fighter's record should suffice. And for the record, when Floyd finally beats the sh** out of Manny, I expect a full apology for the dribble you've been posting here.
