I was hoping someone out there could make a guess as to the approximate registration costs I might expect when going to get my Montana plates in January. We need to register a 91 Jeep Cherokee and a 01 GMC Yukon? Thanks in advance to anyone that may help!

You could check the Montana state website. You may get an answer or if lucky you may be able to get your plates in advance.
I know you can renew your registration online.

The Jeep (being 10 or more years old) will be eligible for a one-time, permanent registration - no annual anything! It will be based on the State's valuation of the vehicle. If you plan on keeping it, this is a good deal and the best way to go.
The Yukon (being less than 10 years old) MUST be renewed annually, and is also based on valuation.
My GUESS is that the Jeep will run you about $100.00 for permanent registration and the Yukon will be closer to $200.00 per year.
JUST MY GUESSTIMATE!

Good luck.
