Hello All,

For the last few months I've become a lurker on here as we have been planning our move to Florida. I've learned so much from the forums so thank you to people who answer so many questions. My husband and I are wanting to find a place to rent in the Melbourne/Vero Beach or Jupiter areas, we have the ability to be flexible with where we live which is nice, but also we would like to look around a bit more before deciding where to buy. My questions are, where could I look to find shorter term rentals? Less than a year at a time?

The most important question: is there any community of Dressage/Eventing riders in this area? We are both lifelong horse people and will be bringing two horses with us. One is a going Event horse in the making, the other is an older retired upper level horse. We do not want to live near Ocala at this time.

Thank you!!

Check out the Kissimmee/St. Cloud areas. Lots of horse folks around there.

Wow, that might be hard to do to find short term rental with horse stalls and field for the horse. Not a lot of areas in the non real touristy areas like Brevard and Indian River Counties allow short term rentals. You could probably rent a condo on the beach and board the horses on Merritt Island or the mainland.
