I find this very interesting that these were the only large counties to go for Trump-Pense. Cuomo showers this area with love, shunning the others, and yet Cuomo type policies got rejected.

^Well, Cuomo isn't running against Trump and perhaps people in those counties have their reasons for voting for Trump that don't have anything to do with Cuomo.

Hillary won Erie County in 2016, and Biden won Erie County in 2020.

And in 2018 Cuomo beat Molinaro-R in Erie County.

Trump is way up with 99% of the votes tallied

For some reason they won't allow the page to be copied, but I've read it a couple places

Biden is ahead in Erie County by a little less than 20k:

Still, let’s hope Cuomo gets voted the hell out in 2022

I’ll be selling my house and moving to a red state. I’ve had it. Moved 21 years ago only to come back for my folks.

It's getting harder and harder to afford a place in red states; better get it done quickly. I left WNY for Idaho in '94. Housing skyrocketed here in the last 5 years. The tough part in WNY is you'll never see huge housing appreciation; taxes eat up too much of the monthly payment to let it go for the actual mortgage. The longer you stay in NY, the further behind you get.

Regarding the vote, I was watching the national polls and seeing Erie county going red-came here to congratulate you (even though downstate killed it). Guess that was for nothing.

Erie County is still blue. My home more than doubled in value in the last 4 years, not including any increase this year. My taxes are $2400/year for city/county/school.
