Ok well I gotta ask this question, I've tried looking it up but it's too confusing. Anyone have an estimate of the population growth with condos, apratments, and lofts in the Downtown Buffalo area? I would like to really know if our population is now growing because of more jobs and more urban dwellers in lofts, etc. Thanks a Bunch!

I don't know about Buffalo, but it seems there are a decent amount of people moving in and out of Rochester.

A recent article in the Buffalo News said..."The City of Good Neighbors lost 2,552 of those good neighbors between July 1, 2006, and July 1, 2007 — a 0.93 percent decline."

I think we may see the trend finally reverse in the 2010 count.

Yes, I did just see that article yesterday about Buffalo and Erie County's decline - but with all of the condos and lofts, etc coming in - there must be a small increase this year and perhaps into the future as well. But we aren't losing tens of thousands of people every year, which is steady progress I suppose.

But does anyone know if people who live in Condos and lofts get counted in the 2010 Census?

There will be a total recount in 2010, not just an estimate as they do in all other years.
