What we don't need is more restrictions on our rights, what we need is to crack down on illegal guns. Gun buybacks are fine, but they generally yield few illegal guns. We need to impose high mandatory sentences for people who are caught with illegal guns. Even stricter for those caught trafficking firearms. We can have safer streets, and more guns at the same time... We just need to be smart about it.

Either someone did, but were selling them on the Black market or someone might have brought some directly.

This isn't about taking rights away, but enforcing the ones we have to the letter of the law, in this regard.

Right, I agree. So you believe that we should obey the Constitution and force NYS to allow all of its citizens (not otherwise disqualified) to carry concealed weapons.
