I need suggestions to host a semi formal graduation luncheon for my daughter. I don't know of any decent restaurants that are open for a late lunch. Most are only open for dinner and due to long distance driving by relatives we cant do that. Any suggestions in the Burlington Essex area most appreciated. Thanks

Ask at the convention bureau 877 264-3503 They have to keep track of spots for meetings and private luncheons.

You might want to give Shanty on the Water a call to see if they meet your needs I go there frequently for lunch and cant complain about the food, its great, the view is spectacular, I have no idea about parties and weddings etc. but they claim to cater to such events.

The Hinesburg Public House has a great little function room located just inside the front door on the right. I haven't been in it but it looks perfect for your needs. I have had two meals there and the selection and food were incredible. Service suffers a bit during busy times.

Another trusted place is the Windjammer. If you ask, they will set aside part of a dining room for you. Guaranteed good service, and of course the salad bar to die for!
