Hello! My husband will be traveling to Burlington the last week in December (New Years week) for work, and myself and my 2 kids will be tagging along. We've never been to VT and are so thrilled to be coming! Looking for suggestion of things I can do with the kids while he is working. They are 4 & 6mo, so mainly activities that are preschooler-friendly keeping in mind that I will be carting around an infant as well. The preschooler is VERY active, so activities that keep her moving are best. We are staying at the Hilton on Battery St. And I will have a car. Don't want to go TOO far. Though my husband has already informed me that I will need to take a trip to The Alchemist to stock up, because he a serious hop head

TIA!!!!

Sorry...you can't go to the Alchemist to get beer because the brewery is not open to the public. The only way to get Heady is to get in stores or on tap at a restaurant/bar. Heady is not the only game in town...lots of great hoppy bears are coming out of Vermont breweries. I would suggest checking out Winooski Beverage as they have the best selection of local craft beers in the area. Also check out the Alchemist's website to see Heady delivery days/stores.
Your 4 year old will like ECHO which is right on the waterfront walking distance from your hotel. Check and see if Regal Gymnastics in Essex has an open gym during the time you are there.

That's interesting, and good to know. I'm sure he will do some research on others he wants to try. So are the stores usually out of Heady on delivery day? Is it the type of situation where they limit how many they will sell per person? Sorry, won't go on about these things, I'll let him look into it on the beer forums. You just seemed to know what you were talking about.
Yes I was looking into ECHO, will probably go there one day. Good suggestion on the gymnastics. Any other indoor play gyms in the area?
Also, is first night worth a shot with kids this little?

Heady does not stay on the shelf and usually sells out within hours of delivery. Have him peruse some craft beer forums to get an idea as to when/where/how early you'll have to be there to get it! Some places will sell by the case..almost all place have limits on how much you can buy.
I've never done first night with kids but they do have kid friendly activities in the early afternoon/evening and I think they have 7pm fireworks too.
Pizza Putt has an indoor playground...located in South Burlington on the back side of the airport. Get good directions!
