I mean, the name Junction says it all. It's an adjoined area with train depots, highways and stations everywhere, smaller with lots of noise, traffic, kind of like Winooski.

Check out Colchester by the lake. Shelburne or Charlotte by the lake if you can afford it. Williston is very nice too, but expensive.

South Burlington could be nice, because some areas are quiet, also connecting into Shelburne. But, South Burlington is essentially a through-way to other towns in my opinion.

Taxes are ridiculously high in this state in general.

If you're a lake and land person, you might like the Champlain Islands better - South Hero, Grand Isle...

All of these are within 10-20 minutes of one-another.

Besides this being an old thread, you do realize that the Burlington and Lamoille RR closed up in 1938, and the spur to Burlington has not been a major traffic route for ages? Stations???

An old thread by the judge of who? Do you see anything besides five posts from this year? No.

And yes, I've lived in this area for 30 years now, I know my way around. Essex Junction is notorious (given its small size) for how incredibly loud the trains are when they barrel through. It's a junction - just that.

Don't forget the traffic at 5 corners. Lovely.
