You pretty much raised my concern. The screened list seems "hokey" to me too but it is the only "red flag" I can see with this company.

I have watched the company's free "training" videos and they make a BIG point about NEVER paying a membership fee to work with a wholesaler. They specifically state that none of the wholesalers on their screened list require anything other than an account sign up with no fees.

They do claim to have 8000 wholesalers on the list that will work with small accounts.

The company has been in business since 2001 and you would think I would be able to find a few complaints if they are a scam. I checked the BBB and they have a total of 8 complaints filed against them and all have been "resolved".

I am going to do some more digging. Ideally I should go to a trade show and search there however it would cost considerably more than the 300 dollars this company is asking for.
They're a legit business, but the problem is you're competing with every other person out there with a template site, a dream of working in their underwear, and $300 to spend on a membership. I'm sure some do succeed, but many more wash out. IMO, you're better off targeting a niche where you can stand out. More leg work but better odds.

I've used them and they have thousands of bulk sale, wholesale, and dropshippers who are legitimate and for a one-time liftetime fee they are well worth it. In addition they offer a lot of on-going, interactive on-line training on how to sell on the internet. You get more than just a list. You get lifetime access to a searchable database. You also get downloadable software that will search the internet and give you detailed information on how product you want to sell is selling on the internet, what buyers are paying, and your odds of success for that type of product. Thereby saving you a lot of time and money on research. The software also suggests keywords for search engine optomization for your website.

You need to have a business name and a tax ID number. You are provided with the contact information to vendors and can contact them by using their online contact forms for each vendor. They have paid a fee to be listed so they want customers to buy their products. They are the only legitimate company I have come across where you will be contacting businesses that are really wholesalers giving you sufficient margin to make a profit. Have sold items very sucessfully through them. Just search by name or product type, click on contact, fill out and send your inquiry to the vendor. 95% of them respond. They also offer links to their websites including the wholesale portals.

Can any of you do all that for $300? I don't think so.

I have been a member for about three years and yes they are legit. The reason you won't find any negatives is because there aren't any. There is an old saying that you get out what you put in. WWB gives you all the tools and help you need but in the end no one is going to do it for you. I had some success but the failure was mine because I was such a Newbie that I made some very costly mistakes. If you are serious about ecommerce, WWB is the best place to go. Not bad for 300 bucks for lifetime membership.

P.S. Began researching products again using WWB.
