There are a huge number of best seller books addressing Corp Career growth.
1) Get to know your company culture / objectives.
2) Determine if / how YOU and your skills will match / make your company money.
3) Commit to pursue making a success of your product, department, and overall company / organization.
Corp life is not perfect for everyone, but it can be a very rewarding and engaging career.
I came from generations of self employed, but had to stay corp based due to 32 yrs caring for a disabled parent (largely caused due to the stress / bodily harm of being self employed).
It was a huge struggle to remain a company employee, but... necessary in the big picture. I got 5 degrees fully paid for and over 25 yrs of well paid company travel / international living. Fortunately, I had a great company that realized it was only great due to great employees. No time clocks, flex schedule, employee empowerment / trust / expectation to make multi million dollar decisions that directly affect revenue and supplier business health.
Choose a company that fits and supports your values. Mine taught me to give to others (time and money).

Entrepreneurship is about satisfying people's needs in exchange for currency.
Corporate career is about increasing your personal intrinsic value so that your time is worth more compensation to the company (or to other companies).
So work on investing in yourself. Learn new skills, volunteer to take on new tasks, increase the exposure of performance that you have within the company, etc. Improve your presentation and confidence in interactions with coworkers. Focus on showing how your efforts are driving success.
