Hi I am doing a paper on tourism in Canada and I can not seem to come up with any numbers on the yearly tourist that go through Calgary - I love that place - lived there in the late 80's for 5 years - and it has grown so much, matured,
does anyone happen to know the amount of tourist that go through Calgary

Hi

I found this on a press release issued by tourism Calgary....the press release was discussing other info....but at the end it mentioned these stats....the press release was from Feb 2007.... so I assume 2004 is the last year stats are avbl.


As the tourism industry supports 18,600 Calgarians through direct or indirect
employment, generating $57.7 million in municipal tax support revenue, the loss of this rebate could have a dramatic impact. The most current stats available, 2004, indicate 4.1 million visitors visit Calgary, spending $977.3 million.
