Does anyone know how long it takes to commute from the Grover Beach area to Goleta. I know their is the Clean Air Express. Just curious to see how bad it is. I am not sure I wanted to move to Santa Maria since I want to be close to the beach.

Figure a solid 1.5 hours each way, Not a reasonable commute.

The girl I am seeing lives in the dorms and I stay in Santa Maria sometimes with my sister to see her. It is an hour to get there. From Grover it's probably going to be hour and twenty minutes. You really aren't that close from Santa Maria either. I would say look into Lompoc or Vandenburg for like a 25-30 min commute for cheaper living. Or half hour from Ventura. The Lompoc area is pretty nice btw if get into the right neighborhood.
