I was accepted in Spokane. I didn't stick around N. Idaho long enough to be accepted. Didn't want to be accepted there.

Actually, people in many states accept Califoreigners quite nicely as long as they don't look doiwn their sunburned noses at them and the local culture and don't whine about what CA has that their new state doesn't.

Which is why you'll never see me in the Bible Belt. No need to experience that again.

So, how many here are native-born, and if not, where are y'all from?
Born in Burlingame CA, and raised in Thousand Oaks CA. My mother, age 81, immigrated to CA from Switzerland 59 years ago and still lives in Thousand Oaks. Father moved from South Dakota to San Mateo, CA in the late 1940s.

Senno is knowin that Idahoans and Missourans ain't all that welcoming to Californians that move to those places. I have family in both states. Some people will spite ya just for your license plate. Some will like ya, though. Some just judge ya right off and never change their minds.

He'd spend two nights sleeping on his desk, said, "Never again" and left for So Cal. A week after he was hired we took him out on the company boat for a trip to Catalina for a working lunch. Dude thought he'd reached Nirvana.
