Or, to keep on topic, for stores to carry larger sizes!

I am almost positive that is not the issue.

Ruth... Your comment is completely off-topic, however... is there anyone on the forum today who has personally stolen land from any indigenous culture? Dipping back generations to make a point doesn't serve any purpose. Many Americans are 1st or 2nd generation only, especially those born in the northeast & there are regularly new arrivals. If they've all purchased land since arriving, from whom have they stolen?

Dig back far enough into family trees & most of us derive from cultures, which were stomped on by another... hence diaspora. For those whose families have been here for many generations, is it fair to make the great-great-great-great-grandsons pay for the sins of their forefathers? Really?

This is akin to the OP complaining on a CA relocation board that a friend is convinced an individual at one store discriminated against him, on first sight, for being pudgy AND Hawaiian, rather than the friend complaining directly to the store management, store owner or mall manager about his/her supposed treatment. Heck, an email directly to Prada would do more good than writing a flame post that a friend who was flashed possible fat signs (I'm still chuckling over this one) is convinced America hates fat people a lot... & fat people from a certain state even more... & fat people from a certain state of a certain culture far above all else. Stunningly, laughably ridiculous on all counts.

For all involved, place blame squarely where it belongs. For you, this CA relocation board cannot take away land to give to Hawaiians, which you obviously feel should be done. But, there are other sub-forums on this site where you can complain about current landowners in America all day & night.

**groannn**
It's a bitter pill for some to swallow, to see high hotels on their beaches (consuming precious and limited water resources) and have the place overrun by tourists and plantations. Try just for once to put yourself in someone else's shoes, and imagine what life would be like.

Oh well. :-/

If you think the OP is out of line, report him/her. If you want to stick to topic, do so.

Whole thread here is an hilarious ruse to create a controversy when there is none. I love crap like this ...

FWIW, I started going to Hawaii in 1966 ... I have maintained residences here for the last 12 years ... I have zero problem with Hawaiian attitudes ... and they apparently have no problem with mine. There is no problem -- except with young haole males in the military -- and in the minds of some visitors who don't understand this is not America.

Aloha y'all

Not to mention the fact that Prada carries handbags, it doesn't necessarily have to do with clothing size.

Uh; I've heard about that attitude but; it seems the "Samoan" looking Hawaiians don't try that with even light skin Japanese Americans over there.

Tho what the OP was talking about discrimination against Hawaiians don't make sense to me. I'll say the 1st time I saw a Samoan, I thought they were real light skin Black people looking at the hair.

The hell it isn't (and I won't go into the 101 reasons why it obviously is).
