Not buying it. "Native Hawaiian", maybe, but if you if you are a resident and your tax form says you're a resident of the state of Hawaii, you're a Hawaiian. Shall we get into a debate about who's a 'real' Californian, or even American? Provincial silliness.

How about a new 'wrinkle?' Can you be an authentic Hawaiian, and be fat? Or skinny? Or not be paranoid about fashion store staff advice?

I believe that is rude. I believe "fat" is not a nice term to be using. These people have got different bodies that's all. Beautiful bodies. Here is something my husband said for me to say: You go to the bank to get your money and some man says, uh uh, you got to go down the block for that, we just aren't in the mood to give you your money today.

Ironic thing is my one friend who is female and curvaceous, she actually had some stock in one of the places they gave her funny looks at. She ended up buying a belt but when she went back to return it they gave her the run around. No wonder Californians got such bad reps in Hawaii Islands and they try to kill them.

Would you prefer "gravity challenged"?

Good lord, you think people try to kill Californians cause Californians won't sell them a belt?

Sounds like some psychotic Hawaiians out there to me...

BTW, regardless whatever folks attitudes re: the "aesthetics" of Obesity, the fact is it's really a "growing" health problem, and one we all pay for (and Hawaii ain't the worst offender either)!

How can they tell who the Californians are, since nobody drives their cars with CA plates over there? Do they ask if someone's a Californian before attempting to murder them, or do they randomly kill tourists in hopes of snagging some horrid Californians who are constantly denigrating fat slobs?

Elementary, my dear Fonty. They're the ones wearing black, over-the-calf socks with their sandals.

Oops! Those would be New Yawkers. Wrong coast. Never mind!

Stuff is easy to look up and debunk. This whole thread is bunk.
Hawaii has the lowest murder rate in the nation.
Quote:
"Hawaii has a very low murder rate (it’s in the bottom 10) even though it’s a minority white state. But Hawaii is only 1% black and 9% Hispanic. The “minorities” who live there are not a violent lot."

Well of course it's low. They're targeting Californians.
