Gas jumped 18 cents here within 2 days.
I paid $3.98 today.

But the stock market is at an all time high.
Interest rates are at all time lows.
Your house is worth close to an all time high.
Unemployment is down.
Gas costs about as much as it did in the seventies (normalized for inflation) and the cost per mile is probably lower since MPG is higher.

People who post "here" with no location specified should be exiled to East Tennessee forever.

I was surprised to see the gas prices in my area drop three cents over the weekend so I filled up today. A reporter on the news this morning said the reason California isn't seeing the high prices that the Midwest is right now is due to refinery problems. Yeah, the old "refinery problems" excuse again. Yet, the problems are back east, not in California which is why prices may be higher back east than here. Wow! Finally! One thing in California that's less expensive than the rest of the country.

Maybe in certain parts of CA, but the housing market has barely begun to bounce back in much of the country. And I doubt houses in northern NorCal or the Central Valley are anywhere near an all-time high.

I was thinking the same thing. Gas is holding steady here @ $3.98. Big oil = Big profits.
