Keep us in the black Sactown. Please.

And kudos to the Guv on his fiscal restraint.

I am wondering where the super-majority Legislature is gonna raise our taxes. Where will the hurt be coming from? I suppose a new gas tax, more taxes on business? It would appear that the sales tax is pretty high and if they raise it they might have folks waking up. Hard to say. Things will be interesting this year. Keep your wallet closed tightly!

I've been hearing talk about them trying to raise the car tax again, don't know if it will happen. No amount of money will ever satisfy the insatiable appetite of the left.

Edit to add: Forgot to mention, they're also talking about raising property taxes on non-owner occupied real estate (such as rentals). As a landlord, guess what I'll be doing??? "Sorry, we have to raise your rent, the benevolent government has decided our costs must increase."

How can we have a surplus when the state has borrowed $10B from the feds to cover unemployment compensation, the feds want it paid back NOW and no payments are in the budget? If the dems on DC manage to get UC extended, it will make this liability even greater.
