This is a zombie op gets recycled every few months
The answer is we don't marry and have kids the crop of apples stayed green one in three under 30 lives with parents marriage is down 50%
What there is is immigrant babies or new arrivals crossing over legal or otherwise
If they did not do so population would be falling for lack of replacement
Same as France

Many would consider that a blessing. I know I would if we still lived there, especially if the trend started decades ago.

Well...that is a contributing factor but certainly not all of it.

Just a hunch that native born Whites and Blacks are more likely to leave due to astronomical housing prices because they are less willing to have multiple family members living in the same dwelling. In international cultures it's very common to have 3 generations in one house. Even in the poorest parts of America people prefer living in their own death trap mobile home to that.

And what's really nice about it is that for the most part we have that choice.

My guess is that they moved to Seattle. It feels like every other person I meet here fled from SoCal. Lots of LA area code phone numbers up here!

I have lots of Bay Area friends who have made the move up to Seattle looking for a SF alternative but without the $1,000,000 home price tag (Portland too).

It is an unbridled joy to ponder the notion that Seattle is being flooded with SoCal expats. Surely Sounders fans are relishing this (har har -NOT!).
