Many of the jobs available are part time and not stable either.
Many americans have no unemployment and no home and lost every thing .
Unemployment figures the government show are false, and only represent those that are on unemployment, not those that have run out, or have such poor jobs can't really pass as a living, even with 2 jobs. If their employer let them.
The last company I worked for was a billion dollar corporation, now moved out, and several thousand employees are displaced.
Our family had a service business in the LA area and we watched company after company fold up and move or simply shut down altogether.
Liberals and environmentalists have driven out business from California and now there is a rush of even more mouths to feed and with a drought on top of it.
With failing crops every where, are you going to feed us all ??
Remember now, free food , no one much is working, so the rest of the country is going to have to pick up the tab.
Thanks by the way.

CA is full of activists, you would be deporting 80% of the state. But if you would like to keep and support illegal immigrants, thats great, we can start with your house. How many would you like to take in?

On the money, bro!

One day CA will be Northern Mexico and you'll have the wacky, bored and spoiled CA Liberals to thank!

You are unreal.

You constantly bring up illegals as one of the major problems CA is facing.

When you are asked "well why don't you leave CA", you give some BS about how you're going to help turn things around and that is why you stay.

Well here is your chance.

Even after prop 13 was enacted, CA was at the top in the nation for education. After decades of illegals flooding in, it is now at the very bottom. Don't say illegals aren't responsible for dumbing down CA schools. I was a teacher during those years, and saw it myself.

Nothing will change in CA unless enough People demand it!
Here is the updated list of where to join the protest this weekend in CA.

When I saw the trailer-trash harridans screaming at the Hispanics (on TV) in Murietta it did not make me feel good to be an Anglo. For generations this country has benefitted from immigration as a source of cheap labor to do the jobs we won't do. We get the cream of the crop, the people who are willing to risk their lives to better themselves. Once upon a time that was part of the American experience. Me, I'll take an immigrant over a lazy stoned-out dropout American who thinks the world owes him/her a living. I'm leaving this thread now so don't bother responding to me.

What makes them "trailer trash"? Because they are white? Best you leave the thread, don't need racists like you here. Most have no problems with immigration as long as its done LEGALLY!!

I've got some trailer trash stock in my family, unfortunately, and you tend to know them when you see them.

People who say they're fine with immigration "as long as its done LEGALLY!!" very rarely have any idea of how difficult that process is, or the realities of the lives of people who choose to come in illegally.

They'll also very commonly refer to those people as "aliens" or "illegals", because if you can consider them as something less than human, it makes it so much easier to degrade them. Here's a tip: people cannot be illegal. They can do illegal things, but they are still people.

Here's an exceptionally easy to understand infographic about immigrating to America legally, and all of the ways it becomes next to impossible to do: http://infographiclist.files.wordpre...0963eaf8de.jpg

And here's a (slightly humorous) article written by someone who came across the border illegally as a child: 5 Things I Learned Sneaking Over the U.S.-Mexico Border | Cracked.com

Legal immigration is so much better for a number of reasons, but it is impossible for (I would venture to say) the majority of people to do. We need immigration reform to make the legal channels easier and more accessible, or we need to admit we're no longer a nation of immigrants, that we no longer welcome the tired and poor or the huddled masses yearning to be free, give up this dialogue of being the best and freest in the world, admit the American dream is dead, and get over ourselves.
