The upcoming election is a referendum on the incumbent. Since Brown is, by and large, doing a very good job, there is virtually no chance that Kashkari will get elected barring some catastrophe on the Brown administration.

But I think he is a name to be watched in the future. His views are pretty much in line with many Californians, despite the R next to his name, if you squint he almost look like a Centrist Democrat. But he likely need to come up with better economic ideas than the same ones that are proposed by every Republicans who run for offices.

Voting for a gub based on one-issue is the best idea ever.

And voting for or against someone because of the letter next to their name is just as good of an idea.

Nope. Which is why folks need to look up what their candidates stand for.

I doubt he will win but I'm not voting for Brown. This is from a Democrat who's never voted for a Republican since I first registered in 1978. Overwhelming illegal migration and the Democratic Party's eagerness to legalize the status of millions of them is driving that change of heart.

It's the stupidest thing one could do if participating in politics.

Jerry Brown is an over the hill 20th century professional politician. Neel Kaskari is intelligent and highly educated with experience in the private and public sector. He knows what needs to be done in California to bring the state into the 21st century.
Nice try but that requires CA voters to think, analyze and understand before they vote. Good luck with that one

Because only California voters don't think, analyze, or understand before they vote, right? Not like, for example, the Texas voters who elected Rick Perry, three times. California voters are the dumbest dummies of all 50 states.

Your schtick of criticizing Californians is really tired and worn, TVC.

If you don't like it don't read it. Pretty simple eh?

I am not criticizing all Californians...just the ones who don't think before voting. You know like the 55% who were duped into thinking that Prop 30 was really going into the classrooms when all you had to do was investigate who was sponsoring the adds. What a bunch of rubbish and shame on people for not having the sense to know better than to fall for that Prop.

Your shtick of criticizing others for contributing to the forum is really tired and worn as well. That is why I just don't read your constant backlash on others. I suggest you do the same.
