Southern California women are quintessentially flaky and many have that annoying "valley girl" accent. They are more approachable by and large, however, than the NorCal breed, but around West L.A., South O.C., and North S.D. County you encounter some truly materialistic types.

Northern California (Bay and Sacramento) women enjoy exerting control over their men. "I don't owe you a smile" is their basic mantra, completely missing the point that it's okay to be both focused and feminine. However, what few cool Bay Area girls exist are indeed quite cool.

I've lived in both regions and moving back to SoCal in January.

To the OP: Anyway, as far as women go, pick your poison if you're gonna stick with California girls. The best American women are in Texas and the South, in general, but they also, due to cultural pressure, tend to marry by (statistically) age 26-27, so you better start now! Otherwise, I'm completely serious when I suggest that you go abroad to find women; not every "foreign" woman is dying to acquire a green card and "security" and to come to the U.S. either. As you get older, he might really appreciate this fact.

Alert:
If anyone encounters a thread in here that presents posts bearing "information" on women in any appreciably large municipality, take it...with a shot of booze. And laugh.

(For those who had not already done so).

Maybe you need to move to Europe or Latin America to meet women that, at least more so than American women, live in the real world. Or if you aren't gonna do that, at least listen to Bill Burr every once in a while.

So you are doubling down on the practice of objectifying and generalizing about women throughout regions? Might be hard to get a date, for more than an hour at least, that way.

There are a lot of young dateless virgin men like this, often "nerds," on the Relationship Forum who get most of their misinformation either from PUA sites, or other from other angry and dateless young men. Believe it or not, many have never even been kissed.

It's interesting that many of these young guys feel they are entitled to date only beautiful women. Forget about the fact that lots of them are not dating period. Also, many are themselves average, or below in looks. Fantasy relationships, complete with drama and rage from a fantasized eventual rejection, are the norm.

I wonder if the OP fits that bill? I'll bet that his complaints have almost nothing, per se, to do with California.
Yes it doesn't look like the OP knows what the heck he's talking about in general and is basically venting out his transgressions of his young dating life. Every guy has been in this spot at some point. At 18, with his act together, supposedly, he thinks he is entitled to date hot girls with merely talking about his great, wholesome, and morally conscience characteristics. More times than not that’s not going to work anywhere and he's going to have to learn how to handle rejection and adjust his approach otherwise face rejection and cry about it for a long time.

As to hot women here in California:
I would say that the stereotype of having the hottest women is pretty accurate. I've been to many places around the US from Texas, NY, FL and there are hot women anywhere and everywhere. There is nothing special in the "California air" that breeds hot women. But this state, specifically NoCal and SoCal, happen to be amongst the most diverse regions in the country (save the NY argument as that is an arguable fact), if not the world. So there is definitely more variety of people to choose from. On top of that, here in SoCal, the Hollywood influence emphasizes good looks and fashion which makes these things a higher priority for women than in other regions, even though said women are not involved in this industry. What comes from that is women place more attention to looks department through cleaner/healthier eating, exercising more, or through cosmetic surgery. I’m no sociologist as these are personal observations.

As to women's attitude here in California:
I'm not going to get into the psyche of women. I'm neither a psychologist nor a mind reader. What I can say is that people will have differing opinions on this matter but I haven't noticed anything wrong with the attitude of women here. I can say that women here seem to have less hang ups than most other places. So, if you lived in the bible-belt you might argue that women have too much of a hang-up on religion. When I lived in Utah, 50% of the pool was literally undateable because I was not LDS. Here in LA, women don't seem to care about that kind of traditional stuff. From the various women I've talked to, it seems that women are not so much materialistic, but rather interested in men that have a car, don't live with mommy and daddy, and aren't cheapskates. Not much to ask for in my opinion. Maybe it's the type of women I'm used to dating, but I digress.
But what I've also been told by women, and have read somewhere, is that dating is hard for them as well. In fact, women from out of state typically say it’s harder here than where they come from. I've been told that it feels as though women compete against each other moreso in LA. On top of that, men make dating difficult here as well by virtue of putting up a front. Many guys are only looking to get laid and are always looking for something better. Two rather interesting experiments were displayed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2alnVIj1Jf8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUy3_kBme4M
This was done in LA. Not surprising at all that most of the men on this took off yet the women stayed.

Overall, and what I’m trying to get at, is that women down here do seem put up more of a barrier as they try to catch on to people's bull****. If they catch onto some BS it seems like women here are more likely to turn away from the situation abruptly, as opposed to other areas where women might be kinder in turning you down. It's not because they are prudes or *******. It's because they've seen the same BS over and over. Now I'm no Don Juan, but I haven’t experienced this very much at all because I've always just been myself and comfortable to the fact that I’m not meant to be compatible with every hot girl in the city.

You’ve got a lot to learn kid and putting the blame and trashing a whole region of women isn’t going to get you anywhere.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yes there are (what would traditionally be considered) many millions of beautiful women in California, but until you do a little traveling you are not going to see there are beautiful women everywhere in the world! It's like you think there is one specific city or county where all the unattractive women live. As soon as you have a chance, travel my son. As my dear uncle used to say "Money spent on travel is never wasted".

You mean to tell me that, on top of having a more business-friendly climate and cheaper real estate, Texas has hotter women too?!

That place sounds like paradise. Thanks OP for making this zero agenda thread!

California and Texas probably have the highest number of good looking women of any state but then again they both have the largest populations of all 50 states, hence a greater chance of having more gorgeous women if you have more people. TN and the rest of the south is pretty amazing for women.. southern Women are notorious for being gorgeous especially the country music stars in Nashville.
