Why Does California Have a Stereotype For Having the Most Beautiful Women? (move to, clubs)

I'm a Californian and have grown up here all my life (Bay Area) and this stereotype isn't true at all. I don't get why so many musicians and people have this romanticized idea that California has the most beautiful, desirable women in all of America.

The stereotype of the classic blonde Hollywood starlet or the cute girl-next-door surfer at the beach is from a bygone generation and could hardly be true at all. Only a tiny amount of the women here actually fit that stereotype. The majority of the women here--at least in the Bay Area--are foreign like Asian or Middle Eastern (not that there's anything wrong with that, it just doesn't fit the stereotype) and most of our women are VERY greedy, mean, and stuck up. They want the good life with a lot of money and the whole bourgeoisie shrimp-every-night lifestyle that comes along with it. They are extraordinarily shallow and materialistic. They will only date rich men who can give them this lifestyle, and many of the Asian women over here have the potential to be very racist and xenophobic toward people who do not belong to their ethnic group. I can't recall how many times they've mistreated me in public because I was a Mexican or told me I should leave the nation (which is bizarre given that I was born here when they weren't).

On top of that, a lot of California's women have been very deluded by the whole feminism-liberal thing to an unhealthy level. They think that even being flirty or asking them on a date is supporting the "rape culture" and that even heterosexuality itself is somehow oppressive or wrong. They think that they are entitled, they are selfish, and they wouldn't make a good wife or mother at all. And physically, they're not very attractive either. Most of them are un-tan due to our bad weather in the Bay Area, and they all dress up in that silly hipster clothing--you know, oversized glasses, converse, tomboyish plaid shirts, and stupid "Where's Waldo?" beanies. And they have this unhealthy obsession with dogs--yes, dogs. They treat their dogs like you would treat a human child, even pushing them in strollers, dressing them up, and taking them everywhere they go.

What's so great about California's women? Where did this stereotype come from? I'm not saying that all Californian women or all women in general are bad, but I do think that the majority of Californian women I've met as a native Californian aren't very pleasant compared to other states I've been to.

I visited Texas before and I think they have the greatest women in all of America. I love Texan women. Never had I seen so many beautiful women in such a short span of time as when I visited Texas. They were all very beautiful, very sincere and nice, less stuck-up, and actually polite and not as materialistic. I would choose a Texan woman over a Californian woman any day.

There is your problem. Just because they don't fancy you doesn't make it not true, just means they got standards.

I'm also wondering what type of women you're attempting to go after. I remember the days of clubs and parties, watching men step over a half dozen friendly, nice and intelligent average looking women to get to that bombshell by the bar. Then they're all bitter and bewildered when the bombshell treats them like crap. (And I know the reverse is true also, guys)

Maybe if you started with the personality instead of the skirt, you'd have better luck. All the relationships I was in (including my husband of 25 years) we started out as platonic friends. That's a much easier way of weeding out the duds before you've made an investment.

You're an 18-year old resident with little reality in CA or anywhere else for that matter. When you grow up and have some real life experience you might see things a lot differently. But I advise you not to try to hurry the process. Enjoy the adventure of maturing.

Original poster - you are right. There's no inherent superiority looks-wise of women in California over any other women anywhere else - I've been many places in the country and they're about the same anywhere you go. If for some reason they think they're better than others, well that's their problem innit? Of course that's not the type woman you're looking for anyway right? (and nor is any other guy) so I imagine, they'll remain on their own.
Actually personally I have found the women in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Connecticut to be quite nice on the average (in my humble experience).
