So I have immense sympathy for all you that live in the SJV and well all of CA. My friend and I took a drive up towards Millerton Lake and I was in shock to see it was so low that they are now using the fourth boat launch. In my two decades growing up there, I don't recall ever using anything lower than the second launch

I haven't seen any of the lakes that are low. The closest lake to me here in Redding is Whiskey Town Lake, and being a federal park that's recreational, as well as a habitat for salmon, etc., they are mandated to keep it full. Plus, the Sacramento River that flows through town is not low at all, in my opinion. Mt. Shasta has snow on it now and is so beautiful.

I understand Lake Shasta is terribly low, but I haven't seen it. Here in Redding, you'd never know there was a drought - from the river and nearby lake anyway. If you want to pretend the drought isn't happening, come to Redding. Now would be a good time. The temps are finally down to the upper 70's. As in, it's dang hot here in the summer.

Lake Oroville is very low - they keep flushing whatever water is left in it down the river for the fish.

Here's one from Lake Kaweah, taken about two weeks ago. This is the closest lake to me here in Tulare. This is east of Visalia and just below Three Rivers, which is the entrance to Sequoia Park.
