I've been hearing rumors people (dems) are pushing for Hillary to run for Governor 😳. Absorb that for a min. I don't think she would do it she's a East Coast gal but can you imagine if she did?? She'd probably win too!! I wonder how she would compare to Newsome on liberal views I wonder who would be the better or worse Governor??? ... something to ponder

It would make more sense for her to run for Guv of NY.

I don't know why you think she'd probably win. I think people who have lived in the state and are known to voters, like Newsome, would have a better chance. Why would voters choose someone who's from out of state? Out of region, completely. Has there ever been a case in CA history of a candidate swooping down from a different part of the country to run for gov, and actually winning? Has anyone even tried?

I guess she could adapt herself. She's smart, she'd probably research CA to death, the issues, the history of the issues, the peculiarities of CA government and budget, etc. But it would be weird, IMO. Not sure an outsider could get the legislature's cooperation.

No. One must be a resident of California for 5 years. I don't believe she's a resident. Gavin Newsom will be running in 2018.

No way. She'd consider it a step down.

I recently listened to an interview on NPR with Antonio Villaraigosa (L.A. mayor 2005-2013) who will be running. I don't know enough about him but i liked him.

Hillary Clinton running? C'mon. No way. More stupid on-line rumors.
And it's time for her to retire!
(Bernie could have won the presidency i do believe)

I asked the same question when she ran for the Senate in New York, a state she only lived in for the required residency period so she could run. Yet the people of New York voted her in.
