Even with the budget tricks and keeping spending the same. Wonder if they make a shade of Red deep enough to account for the pensions and rollback of ACA.

Aned notice where the funds will come from.

The schools and the medical aid for those who can't afford ACA. Never from stupid projects, etc.

Or the schools etc are being set up for an excuse to raise taxes as they usually do.

Yup and the schools are already like last. Granted if most school systems had to educate 80% non english they'd fall to..

The crash is going to occur, and then we can rebuild it. Oh those lucky souls who will be in a functioning CA. Might be 30 years away though.

80%? 22.1% of California public school students are enrolled in english learner classes.

And there won't be a crash and if there was, most of us would not welcome the help of someone who has such a dystopian vision of the state

And California schools are not rated last, Nevada schools are: Nevada schools place last in nation in Education Week report - Story California Schools are rated a bit higher than Texas

Why do people spread deliberate disinformation like this?

Because they can, and they have enough people who think it's cool and rep them for it which just encourages them to continue. I wish there was a way to flag posts that contain obviously fake information but I don't see that happening any time soon so I guess I will just have to continue to try to refute nonsense with factual information and let readers decide what to believe.

We all went through a recession and a drought...then Economic Growth and Excessive Rainfall....And now a deficit.
Cycles happen everywhere and all we can really do is wait for a turnaround or move elsewhere.

From the years of living here in CA,it seems like for every positive news there will always be some negative news roaming out there to come into the spotlight or vice versa.

California is the most populated and has the largest economy in the country and one of the largest in the world with also a diverse population of legal and illegal immigrants,etc...Governing this state is very complex, but Governor Brown was able to get this state out of a much larger deficit we were in previously in the past years,so I do appreciate all his efforts

Yes up and down is normal.

In this area Jerry did OK. However how will the next Governor do.
