A wise decision. You're a step ahead of a lot of people, nightlysparrow. You've been through this before whereas many haven't so that sort of makes you veteran to these sort of things doesn't it? But really, who wants to be a pro at packing for evacuation? I sure wouldn't. You're very brave. I really hope you are spared from losing your home and will continue to be safe.

Hoping you will always remain safe and any tips you can give on what things to pack in a car and how to arrange things in the event of a quick need to evacuate by vehicle ?

Any suggestions in regard to which charities that non-residents can donate to that are helping firefighters and people displaced by the fires the most?

This looks like it has some information. It mentions The Red Cross, which covers every part of California but there are other sources a little closer to home. The Ventura County Community Foundation https://vccf.org/ and Hill Fire/Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort Fund https://vccf.org/donate/make-a-donation/

The above links can be found in the article posted here.
