I love how the current crop of fake conservatives LOVE to talk about how much of their tax dollars are used pay to support the poor and needy when its red states that drain resources the most. By far.
I thought liberals liked to spread the wealth?
Guess not.
Maybe it’s only if the recipient agrees politically. Ah, the childishness of modern politicos.
My point was if you don’t like supporting red states and conservative causes, start advocating giving less money to them via the federal government.
They’re just working the system big government types give them.
Hypocritical? Sure. Both sides are.

I just loathe being spit upon by the recipients of our kindness.

Kindness? It's the law. Try not giving your portion of the "charity" and report back.

I was about the comment on this.

"Kindness"

More like, "Pay or go to jail".

The funny part is the bulk of these tax receipts are being paid by the Top 1% of income earners, most of which are not going onto the internet posting threads like this.

I know that US citizens and residents are paying taxes to the US, but nothing of the State of California paying to the US. Many of those high earning tax payers are Californians (Most in number, but not per capita). They aren’t being taken advantage of, they just pay the taxes they owe based on absolute income, not relative income. No tax system in the world categorically adjusts your taxes to account for cost of living. The issue is further muddled by the fact that the US deficit spends.

There is no solution to this issue unless it involves artificially adjusting taxes based on cost of living, or forcing federal dollars to be spend proportional to revenue received from residents of respective states (not practical).

Lastly, other than a few chip on shoulder internet users and a handful of Oregonians/Coloradans, most people don’t hate California.

True, though adding Idaho to the list may be true now.

It's been very obvious that over the last decade in particular, there has been a HUGE influx of folks departing Cali for Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Arizona Colorado and Texas BIG time. The statistics are staggering actually. Just look around the forums for places like Portland, Seattle, Boise, Salt Lake City, Prescott, Dallas, Denver and more......none of which are praising the arrivals of those fleeing the pricing of California. It tended to elevate the costs for locals to buy their homes which was one of the primary reasons it seems. Oh well. Hard to spread the love around under many of those circumstances I guess

Yes. And yet California population continues to grow, unfortunately.

Again you’re trying to deflect. We are talking about California, you got called out on your poor research and can’t defend your statements so you try to draw attention to something else. I’m not arguing that Georgia takes more in. The subject you brought up was California, why are you bringing up Georgia?
I guess because you feel foolish for making a brag that wasn’t even true. You’re not too bright.

As far as a Christian, you sound like a person who try’s to justify his thoughts and attitudes by saying such a thing. Some of the meanest people I’ve ever met claimed they were Christian.

You say you don’t mind helping the needy, how about helping the people in your own state that are on welfare or homeless. California has more people on welfare than any other state. If California is so rich, why aren’t they helping those people? Is there a lack of money? Or are the haves just selfish and greedy while claiming they are Christians?

Oh wait, let’s not forget there isn’t money to help my poor state of Georgia from california because it is too busy collecting more money from the fed than it gives. Here in Georgia we’ll have to find out the other states that actually put more in than they received.

Actually give money instead of taking before complaining on being spit upon.
In your arrogance you probably can’t see why some other people don’t look favorably upon California.
You are definitely not a kind person.
