Let's also be honest, government is terrible at "helping people". One of the worst cost/benefit ratios in the entirety of human history.

Well, not quite Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Arizona come to mind!!

But I do remember Callfornia boycotting business with Arizona.....then suing when Arizona said they were stopping electricity to California from Arizona's nuclear power plant due to the boycott.

Seems like California thinks boycotts work in only one direction!!

IF California were a better neighbor, more people would like the state.

More money in the government, more chance of corruption.

We are talking about California, you got called out on your poor research and can’t defend your statements so you try to draw attention to something else.
I already debunked your flawed argument. Trump increased military spending-that's the reason.

Otherwise CA is still underpaid by over $700 Million

Quote:
I’m not arguing that Georgia takes more in. The subject you brought up was California, why are you bringing up Georgia?
I guess because you feel foolish for making a brag that wasn’t even true. You’re not too bright.

As far as a Christian, you sound like a person who try’s to justify his thoughts and attitudes by saying such a thing. Some of the meanest people I’ve ever met claimed they were Christian.

You say you don’t mind helping the needy, how about helping the people in your own state that are on welfare or homeless. California has more people on welfare than any other state. If California is so rich, why aren’t they helping those people? Is there a lack of money? Or are the haves just selfish and greedy while claiming they are Christians?

Oh wait, let’s not forget there isn’t money to help my poor state of Georgia from california because it is too busy collecting more money from the fed than it gives. Here in Georgia we’ll have to find out the other states that actually put more in than they received.
This^ entire quote is pointless drivel.

18 Montclair can’t stand the truth so he calls it drivel.
Do Christians like you believe it is right to flaunt their good fortune and wealth like you keep
posting? Or belittling others that are poor in other states like you are doing
You are the biggest hypocrite.

You posted this on your blog

Its so incredibly sad the enormous hypocrisy so many Christians display for all the world to see when it comes to this issue(Medicare/Medicaid/Healthcare).

We are in essence, Wolves in sheeps clothing, bending over backwards to keep these massive corporations rich while at the same time villifying the poor, sick, elderly and the young.

America, the moment we turn our backs on the downtrodden and needy, that's the moment God turns his back on us. We will not prosper with any degree of sustainability, we will not have a lasting increase, we will not have lasting succes but only temporary satisfaction for the rich. Blessings come when we identify and act upon opportunities to help our brothers and sisters in their time of need.

Loving our Neighbor trumps abortion(which I generally oppose), trumps gay marriage(which I oppose), trumps every other issue we think defines morality. BY A MILE. Those are not my words, but the Lord's:

"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets'' -Mark 22: 37-40

Yet a topic that should be universally agreed upon by all has been turned into a fracturous issue. And let's be clear, just as all goodness comes from one font, so does evil and contention. Whose angels are we when we joyfully tell poor and sick people to p1ss off?

I pray that this cloud of confusion is lifted from our eyes and we come to our senses before its too late.

Let’s see, California is mostly liberal and is a great state yet it’s beliefs run contrary to your beliefs. You don’t believe in abortion or allowing gay people to marry. While you brag about California, the truth is you really belong in an area of the south which you make fun of.

You complain of massive corporations in your blog yet you flaunt the wealth and power of California with pride
You talk of the wealthy and how bad it is to vilify the poor, sick, less fortunate people yet make jokes about them like you did about helping the poor people of Georgia to the tunes of billions and how you and California only take cash.

It seems like you brag of California and it’s residents but really you despise them.

Best to ignore some as they will not change. Decent, even if differing opinions and conversations are fine, but arrogant and hate filled, from either side, are a waste of time. It seems such are killing City-Data as fewer and fewer people are posting here. Likely because they are tired or turned off by the nuts on both sides, who can't keep politics out of their conversations.

That's because poor people (in general) love, support, and trust government to take care of them. Plantation politics (especially in California). It's easy to be corrupt when your voting constituency is ignorant, uneducated, and dependent.

What an asinine thing to brag about

I think Barnum and Bailey have a saying about this. Most people I know don't aspire to pay more taxes. But hey, let's be really impressive and go for a trillion.

Cause the truth has been revealed from your own writing on cd and you can’t handle it.
Once again you are avoiding the issues brought up and picking out tiny insignificant items trying to deflect.
It’s okay, everyone else has seen the real you.
At one time I tried to defend you on another thread, but since then you have gone off the deep end .
