https://www.davisenterprise.com/loca...eer-employees/

University of California has guaranteed all full-time permanent employment until June 30th.

Quote:
“We collectively announce that there will be no COVID-19 related layoffs for all career employees through the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2020,” the UC leaders stated.
After June 30th? Anyone's best guess if the economy is still closed in California. Would be very interesting to see what happens if Unionized employees start getting furloughed in California.

Well looks like the Bay Area will be under lock and key, but other counties will probably open up.
Musk isn’t going to like that. He defied orders and opened his plant today.

Lmfao ... “our” state huh? You are such a piece of work. Truly unique, CR.

No, I have never owned property in Hawaii (or California either). Just rented my slips for tenancy for years and years - both states. And have never called myself a resident ... because I ain’t. And don’t want to ever be. Just a on again / off again visitor.

That said, you understand that many residents of Hawaii, including even some native Hawaiians, don’t own real estate there? So you (supposedly) buy a piece of property on Maui and before even moving it’s [your / our] state?

*almost doubling over laughing at the arrogance*

Yeah, bub ... the people of Hawaii gonna luv u man ... yessir.

Eureka! I finally figured out the OP’s bizarre obsession with everything negative about exclusively California!

He works for Joel Kotkin!

Of course! Why didn’t I realize this long ago ... lol.

Musk is a hero. Some people won't see it today, but I've admired the guy for a long time. He's the kind of guy who will put people on Mars.

He’s got balls and California hates that. If anybody can get to Mars it’s him

His federal lawsuit says it's the county orders that are breaking the law (California law/CA Governor's order, plus unconstitutional).

I don't like Musk, but can't wait for more precedents against those over-controlling counties and state executive branches. There's too much rabid totalitarianism brewing now with attempted travel and other restrictions, etc.

Are you referring to the over-controlling totalitarianism in our state or yours? It's nice of you to concern yourself with how we're doing here but I don't think I've seen any news stories where our state enacted the Riot Law to keep people from entering a town. I mean really? Cops blocking the borders? That's insane.

If anything, this plan-demic has proved that there are a lot of little "local kings" who over step their boundary of powers, and did so irrationally, and now the California economy is paying for it in lost jobs and tax revenue.
