Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a holistic vet in the Bakersfield area or at least a vet that's receptive to not giving vaccinations every year and open to going the natural route. That's the way I treat myself and my animals. I would love to find a local vet of like mind without having to drive south. My current situation requires me to rent a car if I go out of town.

This is really a big deal to me so if anyone can give any help at all I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate it!!!

THANKS SO MUCH!

Our vet down here is open to it, but the office is in Westminister.

Just like our human doctors, you can refuse any part of the service. You do have to get rabies vaccination to get dog licences.

I went into vet locator and came up with this:

John Tolley - DVM
4408 Wible Rd.
Bakersfield, CA 93313

It didn't offer a phone number, but I'm certain you can find that. Also don't know how current the information is.

Thanks for the responses.

I have refused treatment & medications in the past, and vets I've dealt with don't board or do surgery unless the dog is up to date on vaccinations, etc. I'd like to avoid the hassle if I can.
And Dr. Tolley only works on horses.

Thanks again to both of you for responding and if anyone else has anything to add, I'd be thrilled to hear it ... I haven't given up yet!
