No, never. I did go to Catholic school but am not a practicing Catholic.

I'm just looking for alternatives to the science-as-religion vs. Fundamentalist Christian divide we see in America today.

I would say I am a spiritual person and that just like the law of gravity, there are also spiritual laws that govern the planet and the universe, and our current level of science is only at the very beginning of understanding them.

I bet you didn't even read the entire link. If you did, you would see that it is quite rational, even if it is not scientifically proven at this point in time.

Back to the Weather Wishes topic ...........

My ideal weather would be year round mid 70's-low 80's with summer rains. I grew up in the mid-west and I sure miss the smell of the sumer rain and thunderstorms.
