I was wondering if someone could tell me the extent of gangs in CA vs the gangs in PX AZ?

If you had to choose the safest area out of the to to live with gangs in mind where would you pick?

Ocean....give us some more info to compare the two....I mean...how bad is tha gang problem in PX? Also, be sure to look up the crime stats on the CITY-DATA for each. Alot of the answers to some of your questions can be found there.

I guess if you want to see it first hand you could go visit Watts or Compton. I hear the hotels there are cheap.

All cities have gangs. Most people know that LA has more gangs than any city in the country, so by that measure Phoenix is probably the safer bet. MAYBE. Most of Phoenix's gangs are in the south or west Phoenix. I Live in Phoenix, but on the north side away from the gangs, and should know.

I live in both areas. fewer people in the Phoenix Metro = fewer gangs, gang problems. I know that it is an issue in both LA and Phoenix, but it has yet to affect me at this time.
