That is an admirable list, my friend! I'm keeping mental tabs on every time I see a cockroach in my house.

Are there a lot of cockroaches in CA?

Oh yes, and a bit better than 60% are registered voters.

We had a problem at one appartment when the neighbors above us moved out and the little guys started looking for a new food souce. When your place is clean they wont stay long.

The biggest problem we have had is little knats that like to hand around fruit, and ants. Both can be remedied by taking care of the problem, get rid of fruit that has over stayed its welcome, and keep the place clean.

Most are in Sacramento they are of the Political bred.

While we have them, at least they don't fly like the ones in Florida!

Cockroaches live in sewer systems. These specifically are the giant ones--American & Oriental. Occasionally, they'll come out & may come inside your house. So, yes, San Diego has them! So keep an eye out for sewer manholes in the streets. They also love living in the water meter box in front of your house. You can't control them.

The ones to really worry about are Germans. They're small, thin & breed like crazy. They love indoors. Many restaurants are infested with them! Stakeout a restaurant early in the morning before they open & you'll see the pest control guy showing up to do ongoing "pest control" (German cockroach population control).
