Does anybody else find that commercial a little creepy, where at one part Whitman is leaning into the camera in a slowly zooming still shot, and there's some sort of quasi-psychedelic background and freaky music, almost like it's some sort of attempt at hypnosis or something?

Weird...

Here´s Meg Whitman as a kid during Halloween dressed as a skunk.

No.

You seem to have a remarkably low threshold for being creeped out.

It's just a commercial. Just a mundane and ordinary political commercial.

You want creepy? How about Moonbeam as governor and Any-Twosome-Newsome as Lieutenant governor? That's creepy. Actually I'd rather discuss actual issues instead of doing these personal attacks. But the libs will never change their childish behavior.

Actually, instead of discussing issues, you clearly chose the personal attacks.

I'm trying to figure out which is sillier, fixating on the cinematography of a commercial, or calling names. In this case, I guess that name calling is sillier, if only because you do so and then whine that liberals do the same thing.

I find everything about Meg Whitman to be creepy, especially her sense of entitlement to public office. She will get a reality check in November when she loses by a big margin.

I find Meg Whitman inherently creepy as well, frankly she's scary, and I mean that in a literal and politically philosophic sense.

I don't know who the heck is going to win, and I get the idea of wanting a business person to run the state, in theory it's a great idea, but then again so are a whole lot of other political philosophies.

Theory is one thing.
Putting theories into action is entirely another.

Republicans are a trip! They never win unless Democrats are willing to vote for them yet they accuse each other of being "liberal" in arguably the most liberal state in the nation. "Liberal" is not a bad word in California. None of the GOP candidates will win unless they appeal to Democrats like Schwarzenegger does.
