The economy is really good there I hear. The population of Saskatchewan reached One Million people last year so that's quite a milestone. I would never live there but it's a nice province and it's the heart of the prairies.

Small world - my mom's family is from the Chaplin area.
The giant banana is because Melita is the hot spot in Manitoba a couple of times a year and I guess someone thought it would be funny to play off the banana belt.

I don't think the giant leering Santa is worse than the giant mosquito in Komarno, MB. That is a truly frightening thing.

I think Saskatchewan is the most beautiful province in Canada. I know it doesn't have the drama of the Rockies, but there's something about nothing but land and sky that really gets me. Regina is a very nice city, imo. I really like the area around Eastend.
