Ugh fine but it I liked it and I still think The United Empire of Canada, England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland has a nice ring
Yeah you liked it - but you're an American - does it make sense for me to say you guys should join Mexico?
You're right next door to them and then you wouldn't have to patrol the border. Makes a lot more sense than your Canada and UK idea.
Let's be honest: if we united, it wouldn't be the UK joining Canada. Can you see London as the capital of the Province of England, being ruled by a federal government in Ottawa? The very thought is outrageous and they'd never stand for such a thing. Another matter is, that although Scotland is a "country" and Quebec isn't, Quebec has way, way more autonomy than Scotland does. Canadian provinces have more powers than UK countries do. Might not be the very worst idea, though, although it'd be rather tough to negociate and I don't know if we'd be able to maintain either country's sub-national political divisions in the way they are now, you'd need a different arrangement of powers. On the whole, not the worst thought, but still rather far fetched.
LOL, I am pretty sure The U.S. is not looking to Join up with Mexico to form one Giant Country..
Would be an convenient way to solve their much talked about illegal immigration problem.
