I'm from NYC area, and 90% of our trees are fully bloomed and greenish leaves now. Our cherry trees came out about 3 weeks ago, and basically everything is almost green now although many are still bright pink and white.
How is it in your area in Canada? Looking at live images of Montreal, despite warm weather the trees are still not blooming... Surprised how 500 km distance could be big difference.
Where you live, are there cherry blossoms (pink leaves/flowers) lasting few weeks?
Right now the temperature is warmer in MTL than NYC surisingly.
In Vancouver everything is green and the cherry trees started blooming four weeks ago and now it's apple trees and other trees that are blooming. There was an unusually late spring this year in central Canada, usually the trees would be blooming by now, this situation is not the norm for Montreal which is my hometown.
In eastern Ontario and southern Quebec, the buds have been out for 10 days maybe, and only the last few days have seen green sprouts appear on the tips of branches. As BIMBAM said, this is late for this part of the world. Close to two weeks late I would say.

In Calgary there are zero leaves on the trees and the grass is pure yellow still.
Pretty much the same south of Calgary, though the lawns are trying to be green. Shrubs seem to have buds that will sprout soon, though we may have to wait a while for the trees.
Southern Quebec and eastern Ontario are hardiness zone 5a for the most part. (Some hillier areas may be 4b even.)
As you get down towards Toronto you get into 5b and even 6a in some parts of the GTA.
The further south in southern Ontario you can get some 6b, and there might even be a tiny strip of 7a in the extreme southwest.
