This summer I plan to roadtrip from Seattle to Alaska and back. I'm looking at my road maps, and wondering about two options:
1) This would be the easiest - taking 5 north all the way until it intersects 16, and then taking 16 up to Prince George for the night.
2) This would certainly take more time - taking 99 and 97 all the way up to Prince George.
My question! Is the 99/97 route a scenic drive? I've never been to western Canada, so I really haven't a clue. If it is a scenic drive, and worth taking, how much slower is it than taking the interstate? Is it worth it, in your opinion? This being a roadtrip, I would like to avoid interstates where possible - but only if the long way around is worth it!
If there are nicer routes then what I've pointed out for traversing the same general area, do tell.
