NO! You could fly into Vancouver from China carrying a suitcase full of black market cash.
You could scoot across to someplace like Somalia become one of a few wives to a warlord, then come to Canada and enjoy a few years of welfare assistance while he rapes and pillages his own country creating the conditions that allow you to claim refugee status before finally being deported years later.
Or you could enter from Haiti, Jamaica or any one of a number of countries under a temporary work visa, pay $1000.00 cash for the privilege, then disappear into the woodwork.
You could get your country to reinstitute the draft, call yourself a conscientious objector and move on up to remain here until you are old and grey as many did. I have two ex-pat U.S. neighbours from that 60's era.
All the above is intended as "tongue in cheek" humour and hope it is received thusly.

Yesterday we were in Vancouver, BC and noticed on a stretch of Granville Street there were 6 homes in a row with for sale signs and "sold" signs over them. We looked them up and these were 2 million+ dollar homes. Looked like someone must have bought all of them. Chinese investors?
Actually, marrying a Canadian won't do jack-sh**t for helping you move here. You'll still have to file an application for permanent residence on independent grounds. That means having a degree AND a job offer. Canada has no qualms about separating spouses with different citizenships (even if they have kids), if one spouse is unable to obtain permanent residence for whatever reason. In this respect they are stricter than Europe, which is odd given that Europe is way more crowded.

what are you talking about. You don't apply individually.
Sponsoring a spouse takes a month and half on average.
