Wow; three threads! Now that's some exuberant love'n right there.

It's the least we could do as it was probably a locally sourced Walmart Chinese microphone.

Haar! And I guess you weren't even born yet when American Lacrosse teams with fans in attendance would boo during team introductions and the Canadian anthem as far back as I can remember pre- 60's and, they did that while playing IN CANADA! Fights were common in the parking lots after those games.

This happenstance was one for your team:

This one was especially poignant as it happened immediately after our troops in Afghanistan were killed by American friendly fire:

FARK.com: (169174) Americans boo Canadian National Anthem, oblivious to the fact that Canadians just died in Afghanistan due to U.S. error

Both countries have shown an egregious disregard for respect and protocol for each other from time to time. If chasing this back to it's genesis I suppose we could settle on the war of 1812 when you invaded us from time to time as a starting point.

Wouldn't that be a rather silly exercise though?

Mr Larrycarver also feels the need (See world forums Australia vs Canada link below) to convince everyone in the 'Royal' Dominion' that by the order of nature we should abhor the climate in Canada and pack up and leave our absolutely horrid weather conditions in the frozen north and move to San Diego..

Jesus Christ you guys really do have an inferiority complex. Learn to take a joke. Im sorry I forgot that the French want to seperate from the Royal Dominion. I shouldve thought of that you guys are right. But as long as you guys keep on rigging independence votes they are still officially a part of your frozen little kingdom.

Oh brother; now you're going with the old inferiority complex bullcrap?

Well, at least you'll get marks for consistency;.......Forrest Gump's mom said it best.

I'm thinking there's too much "Royal Dominion" angst in your posts to suggest there's any relevant motivation to your nonsense other than the one of jealousy.

Whattsamatta Larry; your elected King with his Executive Order pen not following his script and now you're longing for a do-over?

Two parties locked in an infantile permanent impasse not the way you envisioned a functional republic working for the betterment of all citizens? Those Ferguson and now New York embarrassments got you a little worried, have they?

Don't fret; your secret is safe with us; you're a closet monarchist! It'll all work out and your hair won't all fall out, you may never get to experience the fun of a back-yard ice rink, but eventually you'll resume emulating a federal democracy.

First of all, the French live in France. You must mean Quebecers, or Quebecois. Or, in the context you've given, the Province of Quebec.

Nextly, Canada has never been referred to as a "Royal Dominion." It is a constitutional monarchy, so Canada's royalty does play a part, but "Royal" has never been a part of Canada's name, formally or informally. And "Dominion," while formerly and frequently used in the country's long-form title ("Dominion of Canada"), has never been officially adopted. It appears nowhere in our constitution after 1982; and most of the rest of the world (e.g. the UN, the OAS, the EU, and the USA) agrees that the name of our country is simply "Canada"--there is no long form. The referenda of 1980 and 1995 were rigged? How so?
