No surprise though Trump would just say that a USMC panel would find the exact opposite. He has to leave some sort of tariff in place - just because. Strong negotiator!

Yeah, even though it would be the same committee but with a different set of initials.

How many years has this brouhaha been on a slow boil with the U.S. ignoring even WTO decisions in Canada's favour?

Good indication of how far we could trust any dispute resolution that used only American judiciary to arrive at a fair and impartial decision.

This little conundrum is quietly waiting in the wings to come to a full blown issue of import:

Bru, regarding the water thing you might find this (published in 2017) of interest - it isn't just about BC's water, it's about the ROC's water too:

It’s a pity no one has come up with a practical way to utilize the fresh water from melting glaciers. Instead that water just contributes to the problem of rising sea levels,

Interesting indeed. They've published using their POLIS grant to U of Vic and it sounds like they might be gaining some traction for better federal funding to give the Water Stewardship Committee more teeth.

I don't blame her for being disheartened about that. I like Elizabeth May and I'm glad that she said she will continue to sit as a member of Parliament and will be the party's parliamentary caucus leader.

Let's hope the same back room dealing that has become normal for the conservative leadership selection doesn't rise to keep him floating.

Anyone but him could have gotten them more seats.

We desperately need someone who can pattern a co-operative level of provinces regard for resect for each other and engage all on the nature of Canada's economy … like it or not being to a very great extent dependent upon resource extraction and the garnering a higher value of it all on the world market.
