This is crazy! Especially because there are so many incidents in such a short timeframe. The second video with the biker guy is the most disturbing because the woman he spits on and calls names was minding her business but he hates her because of her heritage.
On instagram I saw one from British Columbia yesterday with a woman calling a 15 year old racist names and then she is physically assaulting him. I am improving my English slang with the help of these masterpieces!

The brazen rudeness, ignorance, and viciousness of the verbal (and physical) assaults shown in these videos is shocking. Beyond that, are they really surprising? Really? Are we going to pretend we don't know there are many Canadians who harbor this kind of thinking?

The spitting video is quite disgusting, and has a current date. He has been arrested and charged, as are all people who act out like this.

I wasn't joking. I want to know who is pretending? I'm fully aware there is racism in Canada, just as there is in every other country in the world. Racism is everywhere and goes back to the beginning of humankind and will most likely continue until the end of humankind.

This is people mean when they say by "sweep it under the rug".
Your first instinct is to suggest that Canada couldn't have this happening without extensive verification. That is the problem here. "It didn't happen here, this is Canada".
All of the videos are within the last month, with the exception of one video with a woman in a car, yelling slurs at a guy in a parking lot which is at least a year old and has been re-aired on the news within the last month.
Every other video including the ones involving spitting on Asians, threatening to decapitate them, and telling them to go to China, are within the last few days.
No one is implying that "nothing is being done" about it, the point is that these things go on regularly in Canada and until the average Joe or Jane takes it seriously and stops attempting to deflect it, this will continue and get worse as we become more multicultural.

Yes, he is called out. He has no discrimination of mine directed at him to present as evidence, not at any time, and he and I both know it. But he tends to jump the gun and make hot headed accusations from time to time.
He won't find any evidence that I have been racist towards him or anyone else, but I will let him off the hook and explain so he doesn't have to keep on looking for evidence.
He's just carrying a chip on his shoulder at me that he can't let go of. Because I once made a historically factual comment to the forum in general about how the eastern and western indigenous people who greeted the first Europeans to North America were already far more advanced technologically and governmentally developed civilizations with well established organized social structures, farm settlements, towns, industries and solid infrastructures than what the nomadic indigenous plains and Arctic people had evolved to by that same time.
And I also said that the nomadic peoples' descendents today still have some ways to go before they catch up to the eastern and western indigenous people in their continuing evolution, advancement and endeavours today. He took it as a personal insult directed at him for some reason, though I wasn't even posting to him. But what I was posting about Canada's indigenous peoples' various stages of developments from coast to coast to coast was and still is a historical fact that's easily found and backed up in history books and online and there's nothing racist, disparaging or insulting about it. It's just the facts.
