What's your question?

Saskatoon is a real nice town, I dig it, it's a very small city however...

I know someone who re-located to Saskatoon from Montreal years ago and she loves it there; she's never come back here.

Saskatoon is an aswesome town. Has grown to the largest city in Sask. I think around 250,000 people.
Many jobs, many entry level. Housing while increased in prices, is to me, very reasonable. $300, 000 cdn will buy you a nice spot, ina nice area.

I'm coming to Saskatoon at the end of January for a job interview. I'm currently residing in Georgia. Hopefully I'll get the position. The climate/weather change doesnt really bother me as it is another experience in my life. Question is...#1. If I do get the job, how long does it usually take before I can get started? #2. Any suggestions for experiencing the Saskatoon / Sasketchewan way of life?

Your responses are appreciated.

There really isn't a universal answer to this question - it will depend on the company and their decision. They'll probably ask you when you're able to start. Then it's up to you to discuss with them when your starting day will be. Of course, this is complete speculation, but if they didn't advertise when the starting day would be, then you'll have to discuss that with them.

I think they want me to start as soon as possible. Is there a waiting period before I can start I guess is the question. They posted the job opening for a month and I have all of the experience and all. I thought there might be some type of waiting period I had to have. I believe they are going the SINP route but since I'm not familiar with going to work in Canada, I posted my question.
Thanks for the reply and help.

If you have a work visa and a Social Insurance Number (SIN), you should be able to work right away. I would ask them if they're sponsoring you.
