That expectation that you are normal right after treatment was a huge issue for me and my ex. I explained it time and again, and it didn't register.

OP I am in the middle of reading a great book by David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD called Anti-Cancer: A New Way of Life. It talks about lifestyle factors you can adopt to make a recurrence much less likely and the author is a 17 yr survivor of brain cancer. I like it because it gives you a feeling that you have some control over this and I suspect much of your depression stems from a feeling of powerlessness. To get started, drink green tea! I don't like it much but I'm starting today.
