Going to the doctor on Thursday but thought I would post here as well. Yesterday morning I found a smallish hard immoveable lump on the back of my neck. It off to the side a bit right before my hairline. I dont think it is on my lymph node but not too sure. Like I said, it is hard and and not moving with my skin. No discoloration or pain with it at all. Of course I have been reading all the scary things on google and trying not to freak myself out! I have been having headaches off and on the past few weeks but I am on a computer or looking at a phone many hours a day and believe that is the cause of it! Any insight?

Go to the doctor. You really can't diagnose with Dr. Google.

You're doing the right thing by having it checked.

Thank you! Went this morning actually because I didn't want to wait a whole day. She is not concerned at all because of where it is. It is a lymph node in the back of my neck. She mentioned about doing blood work and an ultrasound but didn't feel necessary today. I will watch it and hopefully it disappears on its own, if not I need to call her next week. I have no other symptoms and where it is located, she mentioned that is not usually where lymphoma would be. So I am less concerned but not totally yet!

Do you have dandruff, scalp eczema, or pimples on your scalp? Or even have you recently been pulling your hair up or combed too roughly?

I'm a lymphoma survivor and get lymph nodes popping up in that area as a result of one of the above on occasion. Like your doctor said, it's uncommon for lymphoma to be there so it doesn't even concern me anymore.

Dandruff, yes! And I have a bad habit of scratching my head but this has never happened before. It is still there and has not changed since I found it on Monday morning.

It is now day 5 and it seems to have grown a bit in size since I first found it. Is that common for it grow before going away?!

Buy ACV - Apple cider vinegar ( organic ) and rub that on your head like shampoo. Wait five minutes then take shower use what ever shampoo you use. Your dandruff will be gone.
