I sat down and held his hands and spoke to him. He is having a hard time breathing, coughed several times trying to catch his breath. We had the hospice nurse come in and move him so he was more upright. She gave him more morphine to make him comfortable.
It's just horrible to watch a loved one helpless unable to breath well and you can't do anything for them. This is where the "I am at a loss" comes in. My dad doesn't want any special measures to help him live. Watching him doe such a slow and painful death is beyond words.

I am so sorry you and your dad are going through this. It's truly horrific and heartbreaking to watch.
I had nightmares about it when my mother in law was going through it. I'm praying that your dad will find peace and relief soon.
